Importance of Routine Eye Exams

Routine eye exams are essential to maintaining good eye health and vision. Through routine eye checkups, your Madison eye Doctors can keep track of the state of your eyes to see if you show signs of eye disorders or diseases. Some eye diseases like glaucoma don't have symptoms in their early stages so you may be losing vision gradually without knowing it. These diseases, however, can be detected in an eye exam. The earlier we diagnose eye diseases, the sooner you can get treatment to prevent vision loss.

Your Madison eye Doctors will also examine your visual acuity to see if you have refractive errors that are affecting your sight. If so, we'll write you a prescription for glasses to correct your vision. We recommend you have annual eye exams to monitor your eye health and vision.

LASIK and Cataract Eye Surgery

If the thought of wearing glasses doesn't appeal to you, we may recommend LASIK eye surgery to improve your vision. LASIK procedures are safe and effective in correcting problems with nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
